The Junior State of America (JSA) is the largest high school student-run organization in the nation, and takes a non-partisan approach that seeks to promote civic action and community engagement. The organization also helps students develop leadership and debate skills, as well as increasing political awareness. The South Jersey Chapter (SJC) is very involved in the community, and has won numerous awards, including several Best Speaker awards, Chapter of the Year, and Statesman of the Year. Last year our chapter was named MAS chapter of the year and ranked second in the entire nation. Members of this organization love being able to have an influence in their community and they enjoy the opportunity to be active in order to directly impact their future. We believe it is vital for high school students to have an outlet through which to voice their opinions and develop vital leadership skills, and that is why JSA is such a unique organization.
